Sky TV’s new TV show, The Bachelorette, will be banned from airing in Australia
TV show The Bait, a reality show based on the hit reality show The Bachelor, has been banned from broadcasting in Australia, the broadcaster has announced.
Sky TV announced on Tuesday that it had suspended its Australian production unit for violating its Code of Ethics.
The company said it was making the decision after “multiple independent investigations”.
It said it had also decided to ban The Bitch from its Australian television studio for five years.
“The Bitch is not part of Sky’s current TV production team, and it has no plans to produce future programmes for Sky,” it said in a statement.
“This decision is the result of multiple independent investigations.”
The Bait ran for four seasons on Channel Seven and ABC TV, but it has since been cancelled and its Australian website has been taken down.ABC TV said it will no longer be showing The Bitter End on its shows in Australia.
